Some day-to-day pics - typical accommodations at military camps:

Sandbags around the base do a great job of stopping mortar-frag

Ahhhh, luxury - an internet cafe in Tent City:

...with all of one computer for all the lonely punters...

So as you can imagine, the guys get a touch... frustrated, and any available soft toys take the brunt of fantasies:

Oh, my virgin eyes...

'course, sometimes we do actually have to work and get all the gear ready for a mission - here we're doing admin on the vehicles, checking spares, med-kits, tow-ropes, etc:

Check, checkity, check-check-check...

Gives the bean-counters heart-attacks, but who cares - they're only Fords, anyway...

The downside of being too visible - my old burned-out Ford Explorer:

Insurgents got this one, but no great loss - hated the damn vehicle anyway

Back from a mission:

Keeping the spacing

Braking for a military convoy ahead:

Don't want to get too close to the rear of another convoy - they'll open fire

Me in winter - being the rear-gunner (aka trunk-monkey) can suck in bad weather:

Lost in thought

Made it! Going home in one piece:

Freedom Bird, take me home...
